So I stole this quote off of a friends blog, but when I read it I HAD to post it.

When I read this I was like ah!! because it was a smack in the face.

But a good one.

I feel like sometimes I get really caught up in what clothes I have, or dont have, or the fact that "everyone" has a new car and I want to trade my 1998 honda for a shiny new one, or that the johnsons house is decorated cuter than mine. or Im thinking, what can I do to make some money on the side so I can buy seasons of One Tree Hill, Gossip Girl and Modern Family, or poor me because Im working full time and taking two really hard classes.....BLAH BLAH BLAH.

Instead of coming home from work and vegging on the couch for an hour, Im going to start doing anything nice I can think of for someone else.

At the moment all I can think of is taking someone yummy sweets....what else can I do for people when they dont ask? If you have some fun service ideas PLEASE let me know.

I am going to try to be more like Sister Hinckley.

AND if YOU need any help with ANYTHING, LET ME KNOW.

We went down to Utah for my birthday and it was so fun, and relaxing! Joel and I did some shopping and of course, ate amazing food (made by california pizza kitchen, and mom & dad)

On Sunday we went up Big Cottonwood Canyon to Silver lake and I got to try out my new camera. I love it! I dont really know how to use it yet, but it was alot of fun. Plus its gorgeous up there and my subjects were pretty good looking so that always helps ;)

Cali-forn.I.A.

We went with Joels Family to California back in August and it was AmaZinG!

AND it was my first time boogie boarding.

At first I said there was no way I would do it,

The water is FREEZING.

Ha but Joel made me by threatening to just throw me in

So there I am, riding in one of my first waves

and I LOVED it!

Most of our time was spent at the beach

but one night we went minigolfing and gokarting

you wouldnt tell by the picture

but thats what we are doing here haha

WHICH IS MY BIRTHDAY!

Bleh.

Ok so I have been under the weather the last 2 days and home from work, so I figured it was time for a post.

School has started. Bleh. I hate school. Well not so much school, but the getting up at 7 and not coming home from work till 7, then doing homework all night while trying to find time to work out. Joel is working 30 hours a week and taking 16 credits, And still managing to do it happily. I dont get it, he loves school and learning and whatnot (?) Ha I guess thats good though because hes got quite a bit left. I wish I could be more like him.

Ive been feeling kind of weird lately. I dont know what brought it on, but its strange. I guess it anxiousness now that I think about it. I want to be done with school and able to start a family and stay home and cuddle them all day. I want all these things im looking forward to, to be happening now.

Everyone keeps saying these are the best times of your life, and I AM happy, I just wish I could fast forward sometimes. I think most of this is stemming from how UNHAPPY I am at my job. Its a great job, its just stressful and not something I even remotely enjoy. and its depressing to think I have to keep doing it for the next 2 years. Ill have been there for 2 years in October, half way right?

I hear girls who are making dinner everynight and doing all these crafts and projects and Im like, WHO THE CRAP HAS TIME TO DO THAT??? I LOVE being at home and cleaning, and cooking muffins and making my home a comfy, warm place to be, but I feel like I cant do it how I want because of all this other crap. I cant wait until the days of school and work are done for me and I can be a mom and wife full time. I guess ill get there, I just need to be patient.

[This post was supposed to have all the pics and stories from our vacation to Cali, but it just didnt turn out that way, ill post them tomorrow]
