Chaos

Projects

My life seems to be consumed by homeowner projects. We'll finish one and ill think, "good now we dont need to do anything else to the house/yard" and then a few months later ill find something else that "needs" to be done.

Its Never Ending!

One of the joys of living in a house that was built in 1950, and was never taken care of, and was jimmy rigged to the MAX...is that we get to go in and fix it all.

We attacked the Laundry room this time, our goal was to move the washer and dryer to the same wall, instead of being kitty corner and making alot of wasted space. This involved moving the plumbing for the washer to the adjacent wall.

After we removed the beadboard that was over the wall, we found that the whole bottom corner where the pipes had been was molded. EXCELLENT. So we had to resheetrock the wall and part of the ceiling. Luckily my mom and dad are amazing with this kind of stuff and fixed it in a jiffy!

It was raining so the painting had to be done in my living room...I dont know if ill ever get it clean again.

My studly father and hot husband being manly and putting up my new cabinets! YAY for storage!! They'll look even better when they've got the right paint on them.

The mess consumed my house for a good 4 days

This is the almost finished project...I added a countertop in the space where the washer used to be so I can have somewhere to put my sewing machine. Itll be nice to have a place for it.

I am so thankful for my parents, they spent ALL DAY Friday, Monday and Tuesday working on my little project. It would have taken me a month to do it without them, and would probably be pulling my hair out. Thanks mom and dad you guys are amazing and we love you!

More pictures to come of the finished project.
