Chipping for Parr

Anytime Joel and I talk about where we want to live, or where he should apply to med school at, there are two major factors. Is it sunny all year round, and how many golf courses are near by. One of my favorite things to do in summer is sit in the golf cart, soak up the sun, enjoy the beautiful course, drink lemonade and eat corn nuts. Now I usually dont go with Joel unless its atleast 75 outside...but he and his brother Miles convinced me that 55 would be ok. (Note the two jackets I am wearing + blanket) But I ended up having alot of fun and am so happy the weather is nice now! Its about time!!

Joel drove the green on the 3rd hole! wooo!!!

What a hunk huh??

Miles doin his thing

I am trying to take the instruction that Joel is giving me seriously...

It may have been freezing, but atleast I had my corn nuts!!!

We have been super busy at our house lately with more projects. The laundry room is FINISHED!!! and we completely transformed our front yard, which I am pretty proud of I must say...and my mom and I are reupholstering our love seat...in zebra! haha I cant wait to get it all done.

**My friend Stephani and I are taking on China Peak tomorrow! Our goal is to make it all the way to the top by the end of July. Wish us Luck!!

Craft Night!

We had craft night last week and it was a definite success! We ate lots of sugar and chit chatted the night away. After about 11:30 everything became hilarious and we pretty much just laughed and giggled until we finally called it a night at about 1...good thing I had the next day off!

This was the text Molly sent me the next morning...

"I feel hungover. I think this is what it'd feel like."

hahahaha I love it.

We made these hoop things, dont know what the actual term is, but they were so much fun and I was surprised at how easy they were! I am not very crafty so I was a little worried, but I think they turned out pretty good!

Before they made it up on the wall

I needed something to go between the new cabinets in my laundry room

and these went perfectly!! I couldnt be happier with how they turned out.

We are already planning the next craft night, so if you want to come please let me know!!!

Chaos

Projects

My life seems to be consumed by homeowner projects. We'll finish one and ill think, "good now we dont need to do anything else to the house/yard" and then a few months later ill find something else that "needs" to be done.

Its Never Ending!

One of the joys of living in a house that was built in 1950, and was never taken care of, and was jimmy rigged to the MAX...is that we get to go in and fix it all.

We attacked the Laundry room this time, our goal was to move the washer and dryer to the same wall, instead of being kitty corner and making alot of wasted space. This involved moving the plumbing for the washer to the adjacent wall.

After we removed the beadboard that was over the wall, we found that the whole bottom corner where the pipes had been was molded. EXCELLENT. So we had to resheetrock the wall and part of the ceiling. Luckily my mom and dad are amazing with this kind of stuff and fixed it in a jiffy!

It was raining so the painting had to be done in my living room...I dont know if ill ever get it clean again.

My studly father and hot husband being manly and putting up my new cabinets! YAY for storage!! They'll look even better when they've got the right paint on them.

The mess consumed my house for a good 4 days

This is the almost finished project...I added a countertop in the space where the washer used to be so I can have somewhere to put my sewing machine. Itll be nice to have a place for it.

I am so thankful for my parents, they spent ALL DAY Friday, Monday and Tuesday working on my little project. It would have taken me a month to do it without them, and would probably be pulling my hair out. Thanks mom and dad you guys are amazing and we love you!

More pictures to come of the finished project.
